BOOKS - The Lanark Era - Births, Marriages and Deaths, In Three Volumes [Ontario]
By Peter E. Andersen
Published by Global Heritage Press
These three volumes contain transcriptions of births, marriages and deaths taken from original newspapers and microfilm of surviving issues of The Lanark Era from 1895 to 1936. Also includes transcriptions regarding returning WWI soldiers, and many who did not. The Lanark Era did an exceptional job of publishing relevant information about early local families and also information about those who left Lanark. When volumes one and two were compiled, there were missing issues. Some years later, copies of the "missing issues" were discovered in a private collection. That enabled the third book in the series -- The Missing Years. The combined 3 volumes contain information on more than 45,000 individuals.
