CD ROM - Quebec Land Grants Indexed by Surname - 1763-1890, Complete Set
By: QFHS.
Land records are a critical source of information for family historians. They place a person/family at a specific place at a definite time and date. Armed with that information, a researcher will know which records to research to identify records of the vital events of their ancestors. Oftentimes the original crown land records documents contain additional information about the grantee and their families.
The content of this CD is designed so you can easily identify a specific land grant, then provides you with the infomation that is required to make a successful application for the original document/s pertaining to that grant. The government department/s and address/es where you request copies of the original Letters Patent from, is included in the Introduction.
Quebec Land Grants Indexed by Surname - Complete Set is organized in an alphabetical index format (sorted by Surname) to the Land Grants by the crown, in the province of Quebec from 1763 to 1890. An alphabetical index, county by county of those persons who received a Crown Land Grant
