Information recorded in the 1861 census includes:
- Number of the entry
- Surname
- Given names
- Age
- Single, married or widow/widowed
- Place of birth
- Religion
- Occupation
The column on the extreme right of the page is for additional comments made by the enumerator. This sometimes includes the place of residence if the person did not live in that township, and sometimes includes other information such as deaths that occurred during that year, etc.
A full listing of all of the information in the above categories appears in this book for all persons within each household, plus the microfilm reference number.
