Hardcover versions of all volumes in The District Marriage Registers and District Vital Records of Upper Canada / Canada West (Ontario) series are manufactured with premium binding materials and cover stock. The books are printed on acid free, 20lb premium paper. The heavy duty bingings are designed for durability in institutional enviroments such as libraries and research centers. Headbands are installed to extend book life. Books are covered with a covering originally designed for long-use in law libraries. Hardcovers are stamped with gold colored stamping on both the cover and the spine

Softcover versions of all volumes in District Marriage Registers and District Vital Records of Upper Canada / Canada West (Ontario) series are printed on acid free, 20lb premium paper. The 67 lb card stock covers are also acid free. PVC coil-binding is used to allow for easily opening the book flat, an essential characteristic in a reference work. Far more durable than a perfect-bound format. Softcovers have the titles printed on the front cover. The back cover includes an explanation of what the volume contains. There is no spine printing capability on a coil bound book.
