BOOK - Farmer's and Business Directory for the Counties of Frontenac, Hastings, Lennox, Addington, Prince Edward for 1899
By Union Publishing Company
Originally published by Union Publishing Company, Ingersol, 1899
This facsimile reprint by Global Heritage Press, Milton, 2010

Hardcover Edition

Book-on-CD Edition

This book, the tenth edition of the Farmer's and Business Directory for the Counties of Frontenac, Hastings, Lennox, Addington, Prince Edward for 1899 (in Ontario, Canada) is the most complete directory that the publisher had produced.

The directory also includes two townships from Northumberland County and an additional two townships from Leeds County (see towsnhips list below).

These early directories are a goldmine for genealogists and other researchers. The challenge with many of them is that the original books were printed on low quality, high acid content paper that is disintigrating after 100 years.

This new edition is printed on high quality, acid-free paper. Many days were expended in restoring the original content of the directory so that this edition is complete, and presented as it was originally intended. This premium quality edition will be a valued research resource for many generations.

Among the contents will be found the name of each farmer and owner or tenant of a lot outside of each city, town or village, with post office, lot and concession, a complete list of towns, with the business people alphabetically arranged; also a separate list of business people, classified with reference to their business. The whole combined making one of the most complete directories ever published.

Includes the following historic townships (plus all cities, towns and villages within):
