CD ROM - Maps Associated With Lunenburg County (Nova Scotia) Family History.
By J. Chistopher Young
Originally published and sold-out as a printed book, this invaluable resource can now be ordered on a low-cost CD ROM.
The Town of Lunenburg celebrated its 250th Anniversary in 2003. During the initial stages of preparation for Lunenburg's Grand Family Reunion in 2003, people asked "What would you do at a reunion?".
The most frequent answer was " I want to go and stand on the land that was granted to my ancestors.". The organizers of the reunion decided to publish this book of maps so that attendees could locate the lots that there immigrant ancestors setled on.
The book is of great value to everyone with an interest in the early settlement of Lunenburg.
Land Lots in question include those in Lunenburg Town, the garden lots to the east of Lunenburg, the 30 acre Farm Lots, and the 300 acre Forest Lots. The volume is prefaced with maps of Europe showing, where known, the location of home "towns" of Lunenburg ancestors and concludes with maps that show the location of over 200 known cemeteries distributed across Lunenburg County.
An essential reference work for Lunenburg County!
