BOOK - Annals of Yarmouth and Barrington, Nova Scotia In the Revolutionary War.
By Edmund Duval Poole
Originally published by Yarmouth Herald, 1899
This edition published by GlobalHeritage press, Milton, 2003

Annals of Yarmouth and Barrington is a high quality reprint of a rare volume that was originally published in 1899. The author searched the records of Yarmouth and the Province of Nova Scotia and 'found very little of a conclusive nature relative to the condition of affairs in Yarmouth during the period of the American Revolutionary War'.

This book is a result of Poole's discovery of a 'voluminous mass of manuscripts' in the Archives of Massachusetts in 1888-89. This book is a compilation of a large part of those records..

The included records chiefly consist of settlers' letters, petitions, depositions, court records, and more. The sentiments of the writers and thier affairs during the Revolutionsy War are quite explicitly described.

A treasure-trove of information for those researching the early families of Yarmouth and Barrington and/or Revolutionary War/Loyalists. Includes a comprehensive name and subject index.
