The Natioal Institute for Genealogical Studies has online and correspondence courses from Basic through Advanced genelogy for various countries.

The Perth campus of Algonquin College is a major source of genealogical material related to Lanark County. As well as a comprehensive library, there are microfilms of most of the newspapers ever published in Lanark County, plus the original land record copybooks for Lanark and much of Renfrew Counties.

Algonquin College, Perth Campus is not currently offering any genealogy courses 

 They are currently planning their semester and welcome suggestions for course content or teachers. You may contact:

Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 8 pm
Friday: 8 am - 4 pm.

The library is not open on weekends or holidays During the Summer the library closes at 4 p.m
