APOLROD COLLECTION [Association for the Preservation of Ontario Land Registry Office Documents] Lanark County General Register, Index and original documents pertaining to land transactions - 1867 - 1955 ATLAS (HISTORICAL) COLLECTION Several Ontario Counties based on surveys by H.F. Walling BELL COLLECTION Donation by Mr. W. Clyde Bell, Editor and co-owner of the Tweed News, Author, Journalist, and Broadcaster. A native of Bathurst Township, this collection includes books, original newspapers and scrapbooks highlighting his work as an agricultural correspondent--Perth Courier, The Ottawa Farm Journal, and the Family Herald Magazine. This collection reflects his keen interest in the development of agricultural programs, the personalities that contributed to the economic development of the region and the early history of Lanark County. DUNLOP (Delmar & Donald) COLLECTIONS Donations by Delmar Dunlop in memory of his father, Mr. Peter Paul Dunlop, and the family of the late Donald Peter Dunlop. Collection includes family histories, research notes reference books and papers pertaining to the establishment of the Lanark County Archives. FOSTER (ELLEN) COLLECTION A collection of family histories, scrapbooks and research papers donated by the family of Mrs. Foster, Genealogist and Historian from the Smith's Falls area. LOCAL GOVERNMENT/ELECTORAL POLLS Assessment Rolls, Minute Books, Financial Records, School Registers Federal Elections 1863,1872 and Provincial Election 1872 - Lanark County MICROFILM COLLECTION Lanark Era 1903-99, Almonte Gazette 1921-80, Census, Parish registers, School and Settlement records NEWSPAPERS (Originals) Collection includes Almonte Gazette and editions of local and national newspapers. REID (VIOLA) COLLECTION A collection of Maps, Posters, Family Histories, Church and Civil Records for Pakenham and neighbouring townships in Lanark, Carleton and Renfrew Counties. Mrs. Reid, in her work as a Genealogist and local Historian and Contributor to the Cedar Hill Tweedsmuir History, amassed an extensive library of genealogical, historical and general reference volumes as well as local newspaper clippings and private scrapbooks of articles and pictures. This collection has been given to the Society 'on permanent loan' by Mrs. Reid's grandson, Mr. Gary Lowe. POOLE COLLECTION A collection of appointment documents and legal papers pertaining to the governance of District of Bathurst and County of Lanark including original Commissions of Peace, Precepts, Fiats, Grants et al dating from 1816 to early 1900s. STEELE (JEAN) COLLECTION Donated by Dawn Leduc, this Collection of Reference Documents belonged to Jean Steele, noted Historian in North Lanark. Mrs. Steele was active with the North Lanark Historical Society and served as its President for several terms during. the late 1970s and early 1980s SOCIETIES, FRIENDLY Records for Societies such the I.O.O.F. and Rebecca Lodges WOMEN'S INSTITUTES / TWEEDSMUIR BOOKS Scrapbooks, Minute Books of disbanded W.I.
