I am looking for any information about an Alexander WARK and Agnes McEWEN who came to Lanark Township in 1821 aboard the Commerce from Scotland. They arrived with three children, one boy under 12 and two girls over 12. They settled in Lanark Township on Conc. 5, Lot 13W and then 13E. I am pretty sure that the boy was Alexander WARK, Jr., and is my husband's great, great grandfather. Who were the girls? On a visit to Lanark in June (1996) I tried to find the burial site for Alexander and Agnes with no luck. What happened to them? Also, who was Andrew WARK who settled on Conc. 6, Lot 17 in Lanark Township and is listed in the 1842 census? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
