My great uncle Adam WRIGHT was born in Ireland, the son of John WRIGHT & Sarah ROSS. They settled at Newbliss, Kitley Twp., Leeds & Grenville Co. He married Mary MacKENZIE, also born in Ireland, and they lived for a time at Ompha Siding, Palmerston Twp., Frontenac Co. Their family included: John, Sarah (Mrs. Jon HITCHCOCK), Mary Jane, William, Elizabeth, Samuel, and Alice Maud. They moved to Manitoba sometime after 1886 and no contact has been had since then. I am the grand daughter of Adam's brother Edward "Ned" WRIGHT.
My great aunt Jane WRIGHT was born at Newbliss, Kitley Twp., Leeds & Grenville Co. She was the daughter of John WRIGHT & Sarah ROSS (see above). She was married to Jim STEARNS, Beckwith Twp., Lanark Co. Jim was the son of Miran STEARNS & Emily DOHERTY. They moved west to Saskatchewan after 1879 and settled in the area of Maple Creek. Their chidren were: Sarah Amelia who married Adam Edward ROSS; Charles Wesley who married Margaret CHALMERS; James, not married; Elizabeth who married Angus DALGLEISH; Jean who married Zero "Buzz" STRONG; John W. who married Etta KRIENKE. I am the grand daughter of James' brother Edward "Ned" WRIGHT. I would like to correspond with any of their descendants.
