I would like to get more information about my ancestors that immigrated to Perth in approximately 1853, and then later migrated to Minnesota (Wabasha County) USA around 1866.

I am trying to find out how they got to Perth and if possible locate a ship’s name, entry port, passenger list, etc. I do not know if they traveled alone or with other relatives.

The family is as follows:

Thomas MILLER, b. 10 Sep 1809, Scotland, d. aprox 1866 in West Albany, Minnesota, USA, and his wife Anna WILSON, b..1811 Scotland, d. 26 July,1887, West Albany, Minnesota, USA.

The three children of their marriage are:

• Son - James Wilson MILLER, b. 17 Aug. 1853, Perth, Ontario, Lanark Co. Canada, m. 4 Feb. 1884, Lake City , Wabasha County, Minnesota USA. d. 8 Feb. 1912, Wabasha County Minnesota USA.
  
• Daughter - Jannetti MILLER, b. 10 June 1856, Perth, Ontario, Lanark Co., Canada, m. Dec. 19 1876, Lake City, Wabasha County, Minnesota, USA, to Alexander PHILLIPS, d. unknown. Believed to be in Canada because she was living in Canada at the time of her mother’s death in Minnesota, 26 July 1887.
  
  They had 3 children:
  
  1. Helen Anne PHILLIPS, b. March 7, 1879, in Wabasha Co. Minnesota USA.
  2. Agnes PHILLIPS, b. Oct. 15, 1883, in Wabasha Co. Minnesota USA.
  3. Alexander H. PHILLIPS, b. May 12 1886, in Wabasha Co. Minnesota USA.
• Daughter - Agnes MILLER, b. 1858, Perth, Ontario, Lanark Co., Canada, m. date and place unknown, but believed to be in Lake City, Minnesota, to William PHILLIPS, a brother of her sister’s husband, Alexander PHILLIPS.

I am most interested in the descendants of Jannetti Miller PHILLIPS, who may have lived in the  Perth area and the ship, entry port and passenger list.

I have information on the descendants of my grandfather, James Wilson MILLER, that I will share with anyone interested.
