Alexander McEACHEN, b. about 1820 in Scotland, died 3 July 1888 Carlyle, Sask., married Janet ALLEN, b. 1833 Canada, died 14 Feb 1908 Arcola, Sask.

Their children are:

• Margaret, b. 1850, m. Samuel CRAMPTON;
• Alex "Allen", b. abt 1852, unmarried;
• Robert, b. 20 June 1855, Perth, Lanark Co., d. 7 July 1915, Nebraska USA;
• James, b. 31 July 1857, d. 1 July 1913, m. Jane/Jennie BIRD, 2 Nov 1882 (my ancestors) lived Hazelton Twp, Shiawassee Co., Michigan;
• John, b. 20 Sep. 1860, Lanark Co., d. 10 Apr. 1930 Arcola, Sask, m. abt 1907 in Arcola, Mary CAMPBELL;
• Mary, b. 1864, m. Jake BURKE, lived Nebraska;
• Daniel, b. 4 May 1865 Perth, d. May 1934, Sask.

This family was on the 1851 to 1871 census for Drummond Twp, Lanark County. In the 1841 census there is an Alexander McEATHRON. This could also be my Alexander.

The surname is sometimes McEAGHAN/McHEAHON.

Evidently Alexander is not related to any of the well-known McEACHEN's in Lanark County. Also wife Janet ALLEN does not seem to be related to the ALLENS there either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
