           Researching Alexander and David YUILL who both married AIKENHEAD daughters.

Helen AIKENHEAD, daughter of James AIKENHEAD and Janet Crumbie, born 1807 in East Kilbride, Scotland. Came with her family on the "George Canning" in 1821. They settled on lot 19E,Concession two. She married Alexander YUILL in 1826. He died in 1884 and Helen died in 1890.in Carleton Place

They had fifteen children but the names of only six appear to have survived.

They are:

     Janet YUILL born about 1834 and died in Rhode Island in 1893

     Robert YUILL

     Joseph YUILL born June 6,1838 and married Margaret Cochran 

              One of their daughters, Bella married William PAUL

     John YUILL killed in the bush

     William Robert YUILL born August 26,1845. he became a medical doctor and practiced in Yale, Michigan where he died in 1917.

     Agnes Barbara YUILL born December 26,1846. She married Neil LECKIE and they moved to Lambton County where she died in 1921



. I am particularly interested in obtaining copies of photographs of any of the above families.
