On August 15, 1845, three FULTON brothers of East Kilbride, SCT, landed at Quebec and then made their way to Upper Pakenham Twp. in Lanark Co.
Robert: bought all of Lot 3, Con. 6 from William FLUKER in 1847.
John: purchased Lot 2W, Con. 6 from Pat MOYNIHAN between 1850 & 1854.
Alexander: rented the west half of Lot 3, Con. 6 from 1850 until he purchased it in 1874 from Robert. (all 3 in Pakenham Twp.)
By 1867 Confederation Year, this part of Upper Pakenham was known as "The FULTON SETTLEMENT".
I do have a small amount of information on Robert and Alexander, but John being of my line, I have concentrated more on his family:
John FULTON; 1809-1897, m. Ann McMULLEN; 1836-1896. Their family and spouses:
Elizabeth FULTON, 1854-1926, m. John (Jack) CRAWFORD, 1824-1915;
Robert J. FULTON, 1855-1930, m. Margaret Clues REID, 1864-1927;
Margaret Smith FULTON , 1857-? m. Christopher SMITHSON, ?-1896;
Thomas FULTON, 1859-1928 m. Marion Kilpatrick REID, 1869-1931;
Catherine (Kate) FULTON, 1859-1928 m. John CAMELON, 1857-1918;
John (2) FULTON, 1862- 1864;
Annie McMullen FULTON, 1864-? m. David JOHNSTON, ?-?;
John (3) FULTON, 1867-1941, m. Margaret STEELE, 1862-1947;
Mary FULTON, 1869-1908 m. John James LESWAY, 1867-1942;
(Jennie) Jean FULTON, 1871-1942 m. Albert LESWAY, 1871-1935;
Emmeline (Emma) FULTON, 1873-1941 (no marriage);
Alexander FULTON, 1876-1939 m. Elizabeth Maude COXFORD, 1880-1949;
William FULTON, 1879- ? m. Euphumia COCKRANE, 1878- ?

I have a lot of the families of the above couples and am willing to share anything of interest with anyone. I would particulary like to get some information on Ann McMULLEN, Her family, etc. Apparently she and John FULTON were married at Clayton Village.

Some other names I am interested in, all part of the above FULTON families:
BAIRD; BLACKWELL; BLANCHFLOUR; BOWLAND; BRISCOE; BURGESS; CAMPBELL; DEUGO; DICKSON; FIFE; GRAHAM; GRANT; HAGGLUND; HAMILTON; HANNEMAN; KINGHAM; LAWSON; MADDOCK; McDOUGAL; MELANSON; MONCUR; ROSS; SAYYEAU; SCOTT; SVENSON; SNEDDON; STANLEY; STREY; MORPHY; WATT; WILSON; ZUMSKY.
