Searching for Robert JORDAN, b. Aug 21, 1838,
North Elmsley Twp. (Con.1, Lot 12). His parents Robert JORDAN &
Elizabeth EASTON emigrated to Canada from England with 5 children:
Elizabeth, Mary, George, Agnes and John in 1837. He and his family
later settled at Christie Lake, Bathurst Twp. He was last listed
in the Lanark County census in 1851. Have not been able to locate
him since this last date. It is possible he moved out west, or
maybe to U.S.A. Any information would be appreciated.
Lindsay JOYNT was b. July 4, 1867. In 1901 census for Bastard
Twp., Leeds County, he is listed as a farm labourer. He married
"Fanny Ann" Frances LAWSON on Jan 8, 1895 at Trinity Anglican
Church in Lombardy. Searching for parents and siblings. Any info
greatly appreciated. William LILLIE was b. ca. 1805 in Earlston, Scotland and m. 1831 Margaret LAWSON. He was a blacksmith in Perth, Ontario. He had a sister in Aylmer, Quebec. Where did William live before coming to Perth?
I am searching for parents and siblings of Mary ROBERTSON, wife
of Andrew LAWSON. Can anyone help solve this puzzle? Andrew and
Mary disappear after 1842. Andrew, b. Nov 5, 1811, SCT, is the son of Walter
LAWSON and Margaret LOWTHER. Andrew and Mary, both of Elmsley
Twp., m. April 4, 1837 at Smiths Falls, Ont., Church of Scotland by Rev.
George Romanes. They lived at Lot 24, Conc. 5, South Elmsley, Ont. Marriage
witnesses were: William LAWSON of Elmsley, yeoman, and Walter ARMSTRONG,
yeoman. Members of Andrew's family moved to Perth, Almonte and Eganville.
A different report says that Andrew LAWSON m. Jean ROBERTSON?
