Name: Judy Billmark
Email Address:EMAIL
Surname of Person: TULLIS
Time Period: 1821 till now
Area: Lanark Co. - Drummond Twp
Other Information: John Tullis and Margaret Jamieson arrived
with their 8 children in 1821. They had sailed on the Commerce.
They were given a lot in Dalhousie but it was a difficult lot to
clear, so they left it and bought land in the 9th Concession Drummond
Twp. Many Tullis' stayed in the area until the 1900's and then they
emigrated west. I have extensive information on the early days of
the family; including the book John Sinclair wrote on the early
days of Drummond Township. Any family from recent years please contact
me and I can help you fill in some of the blanks.
My line is Sinclair Tullis ( 1811 - 1889) who married Jessie Craig
(1820-1892) had a family of 5 John Sinclair (JS), Christina, a baby
who died 10 days after birth, Margaret, and William. Christina Tullis
daughter of Sinclair Tullis married David Headrick and moved west
to Manitoba. Information on the Headrick family would be helpful.
