    Query

Seeking ancestors of John Greenley (1775-1854) born at Townland of Knockadawk, Kiltrish Parish, County Wexford, Ireland. Tennant of White family at Peppardscastle. Served as a dragoon under Hawtrey White in the Ballaghkeen Yeomanry and wounded in 1798 Rebellion. John may have had a brother George and sister Margaret who were killed in the 1798 and a sister Jane. In 1801 John Greenley married widow Dorothea Blake-Richardson (c1765-1818) of Ballinglen Parish, Preben Parish, County Wexford, Ireland. Dorothea Blake-Richardson had three daughters by her prior marriage; Mary (b. c1791), Ann (b.1792) and Elizabeth (b. c1794). John Greenley and Dorothea Blake-Richardson-Greenley had six children; George (infant death), John (1801-1850), Robert (1806-1899), Charlotte (1808-1828), James (1810-1893) and Jane (1813-1844). John Greenley and family emigrated to Drummond Township, Lanark County, (Perth), Ontario in 1817 via the vessel “Betty & Mary”. (Alternate spelling; Greenley/Greenly/Greenlee/Granley/Grinly/Granly).

    Query

Seeking information on siblings and parents of the Graham family. George was the Chief of Police for a time in Perth town. His parents came over from Ireland (I would like to find out where in Ireland). George had a sister by the name of Jane Graham who married William Burrows (who mostly raised one of George and Anne’s daughters, Mary Clarke Graham). George’s wife Anne was born in Maberly to Archibald Morrison and Margaret Ferguson, both born in Scotland but married in Perth town in 1821.
The parents of George and Jane Graham were George Graham and Mary Clarke, I believe. This is what I would like to confirm and to find out more details of their immigration to Canada.
I would also like to share what I have on the family tree.

    Query

Still seeking more data and whereabouts of my elusive William Gilmour – born Jan. 1, 1792, in Neilston Parish, Renfrewshire, Scotland and of his daughter Catherine. William’s wife’s name, marriage date, and date/place of Catherine’s birth all unknown. William, a carpenter, is mentioned as the Executor of his father John Gilmour’s will, which is dated June 19, 1845. Any and all information pertaining to this William, his wife, family, and daughter Catherine would be greatly appreciated.
