    Seeking ancestors of Samuel Dixon, born 1784 at Kilmore, County Mayo. Joined 47th (Lancashire) Regiment of Foot in 1813, served briefly in France 1814, sent to India 1816 where he served through 1829. Married (in England, Ireland or India?) Sarah Wallace (1789-1884). Fathered six children; James (1810-1866), born in England or Ireland, Jane (1821-1899), Susannah (1823-1824), Sarah Charlotte (1824-1890), all born in India, John W. (1829-1904), born aboard vessel “HEIC Maitland” off St. Helena, and Mary Ann (1832-1892) born in Canada. Emigrated to Bathurst Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada about 1831.

    Seeking ancestoral/family information on Thomas D. Duffy born c.1831, probably in County Wexford or County Carlow Ireland, believed to be s/o John Duffy and Sarah Britton of Ireland and Bathurst or S. Sherbrooke Twp. Lanark County. He married Jane Briggs born 1835/36 in Ontario. Their children were Sarah Jane (b. c1856), Annie (b. c1859), Rebecca (b. c1861), Thomas (b. c1863), Mary (b. c1868), Tabitha Catherine (1872-1920), Richard b. (c1873).

    Seeking ancestral information and confirmation for Agnes Dunn born, born 1805 at Dunblane … apparent descendent of Walter Dunn (b. c1670); James Dunn (b. c1696); William Dunn (b. c1729) & Mary Sharp (b. c1725); James Dunn (b. 1770) & Margaret Gow (b. c 1770). Agnes Dunn had siblings; Margaret (b.1790), Mary (b.1792), Helen (b.1794), William (b.1796), James (b.1798), Janet (b.1801), John (b.1803), and Betty (b.1810). Agnes Dunn married William Alexander Shaw in 1832 and in the same year emigrated, via the vessel “Crown”, to Drummond Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Agnes Shaw-Dunn had seven children. She died 1890.
