I did not attend either meetings, but I obtained feedback on the afternoon one with the intention of reporting back to you.

At least five presidents of genealogical societies were present, including Gary Schroder of the Quebec Family History Society, Stanley Diamond of the Montreal Jewish Genealogical Society, Marcel Fournier of the Société Généalogique canadienne-française, also the presidents of the Quebec City society and the Salaberry ones (sorry, my source could not recall exact names on this). I assume all presidents made presentations, I can confirm that both Gary and Stanley did.

There were about 30 people present, and only one seemed to be interested in some restrictions.

All the others were in favour of releasing the information.
