06 Nov 2003 - MP James Rajotte continues Second Reading debate on Bill S-13. Several other MPs speak to Bill S-13 and a verbal vote to refer to Committee passes, however a counted ballot is called for and deferred to the next Sitting Monday

20 Oct 2003 - Hon. Elinor Caplan moves that Second Reading of Bill S-13 take place and that it be referred to Committee. Several MPs speak to Bill S-13

28 Sep 2001 - MP Murray Calder presents petitions containing more than 2,500 Canadians from all 10 provinces, bringing the total presented during this session to more than 11,700.

08 Jun 2001 - MP Mac Harb moves PM Bill C-380, an Act to Amend the National Archives of Canada Act and the Statistics Act.

31 May 2001 - MPs Carol Skelton and Grant Hill raise questions regarding privacy when respondents are known by their Census Enumerator.

18 May 2001 - MP Peter MacKay makes a statement regarding a class action suit filed against the crown claiming that the long form of the census violates a person's right to privacy and discriminates against 20% of the population.

17 May 2001 - MP Murray Calder presents petitions containing more than 5,500 signatures bringing the total presented during this session to over 9,000.

15 May 2001 - MP David Chatters expresses concern regarding the need for certain questions on the Census.

08 May 2001 - MPs John Cannis and Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral raise questions of government manipulation of questions on Census relating to ethnic and cultural origins.

07 May 2001 - MP Murray Calder presents petitions containing more than 2,200 signatures from Canadians from seven provinces.

03 May 2001 - MP Michel Guimond raises a question regarding the use of the term 'Canadian' as an ethnic or cultural origin on Census forms.

28 Mar 2001 - MP Murray Calder moves PM Bill C-312, an Act to Amend the Statistics Act and the National Archives of Canada Act (census records). He presents petitions signed by nearly 1,200 Canadians from nine provinces and one territory.

16 Mar 2001 - MP Deepak Obhrai moves PM Bill C-301, an act to amend the Statistics Act (ethnicity question).

26 Sep 2000 - Vote on MP Jason Kenney's Motion M-160.

22 Sep 2000 - Third hour of Debate regarding MP Jason Kenney's Motion M-160, i.e. "That, in the opinion of this House, the government should take all necessary steps to release the 1911 census records once they have been deposited in the National Archives in 2003." Liberal MP Mac Harb proposes a Motion to Amend M-160. Vote on Motion M-160 delayed until Tuesday 26 September 2000

02 Jun 2000 - MP Murray Calder introduces Bill C-484, an act to amend the Statistics Act and the National Archives of Canada Act (census records).

11 May 2000 - MP Murray Calder presents petitions from the Canada Census Committee containing 6000 signatures.

10 Apr 2000 - Second hour of Debate regarding MP Jason Kenney's Motion M-160, i.e. "That, in the opinion of this House, the government should take all necessary steps to release the 1911 census records once they have been deposited in the National Archives in 2003."
