Gordon, The two meetings in Ottawa yesterday went almost too well! There was only one speaker for the "Privacy Side" and he had been recruited by Environics Ltd. He wound up with the conclusion that there were no privacy issues that would stand in the way of the release of the 1906 and 1911 censuses to the National Archives and the general public.

Among those speaking were Jeff Paul, Lyn Winters, Alison Hare, Chad Gaffield etc. I even got five minutes in "off the cuff" when there was time left over.

Everything went so well that I would keep looking over our shoulder for fear of getting sandbagged in future meetings. Encourage groups all across the country to attend the meetings. It might be better if they didn't identify the group when they asked to speak. When I tried to register I was told, that there was a speaker from our Association scheduled to speak at the evening session and that all the slots were filled.
