Gordon:

Just to let you know that I attended the Town Hall meeting in Halifax on Monday evening. I was very impressed by the presentations of the various speakers (all in favour), some of whom I recognized from various genealogical e-mail lists. Their talks were excellent.

I didn't hear of this meeting until it was too late for me to do a presentation myself; but after hearing the speakers, I was thankful I hadn't had time to prepare anything, because theirs were so well-done and would have put mine to shame! Most were professionals and as you indicated in your email below, us "ordinary" folk feel the professionals can do so much better!

I did hear that the two speakers in the afternoon who spoke against access were NS Government people.
